beyond the clouds.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” Psalms 139:7-8
the sun rises above the dark clouds
dark clouds that seem to consume the sky.
the sunlight touches the right side of my face
its gentle warmth brings me comfort as it opposes the chills of the cold winds.
a reminder that in the cold and lonely places
even when I can’t perceive it
Jesus is shining on the other side of the clouds
— a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
the sun won’t always shine
and when I am consumed on a cold and cloudy day
I can be reminded of how warm the sun is just beyond the clouds.
because I’ve felt it’s warmth
and I know His love.
Amen.
